Udupi and Bhadravati report first Omicron cases; 5 more found positive in the state

Udupi: New Covid strain Omicron was found in 5 patients across Karnataka on December 19, informed Health Minister K Sudhakar.

Udupi and Bhadravati have reported their first Omicron cases.

In a tweet on Sudhakar said, “Five cases of Omicron have been confirmed on Dec 19th: Dharwad: 54 yr male; Bhadravathi: 20 yr female; Udupi: 82 yr male and 73 yr female; Manglauru: 19 yr female.”

 


With this, the total number of Omicron cases in the state has reached 19. The first two cases of Omicron were reported from the state.
