Udupi: An ash gourd was noticed grown over the name board of the reputed restaurant, Mitra Samaj, at Car Street here on Monday.
The name board was covered with vines of the creeping plant due to successive lockdowns not enabling the full opening of restaurants.
Photos and videos of the name board immediately went viral on social media.
The decades-old restaurant, in close proximity to the world-famous Sri Krishna temple here, is known for its famous Udupi cuisine food.
