Udupi: COVID-19 Quarantine centres set up in district

Udupi: The District Health Department is working 24/7 to contain the spread of COVID-19.
19 infected people are undergoing treatment in Udupi’s Dr. TMA Pai Hospital, while people with breathing problems, suspected of COVID-19 and the ones who came in contact with patients are kept in the isolation wards.
Isolation wards have been set up in district hospitals, taluk hospitals, Old Adarsh Hospital in Kundapur, Bhuvanendra girls’ hostel in Karkala and Manipal Hospital in which, few suspected patients will be admitted.
Also, Quarantine centres are set up in 9 places order to monitor health and food intake of the suspected Covid-19 patients.
Quarantine centres have been set up in SDM Ayurvedic Hospital, Ajjarakad Library Building, Hariprasad Hotel in Kundapur, Devaraja Arasu Hostel in Kundapur and Bhuvanendra Boys’ Hostel.
Normal food will be provided to suspected patients and they will be kept in quarantine. The quarantine period of foreign returnees in the district is over.
