Udupi: DC’s video msg for stranded district residents

Udupi: District Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh on Thursday, April 16, issued a video message directed to residents of the district stranded outside explaining to them why he cannot allow them to enter the district.
In the video message, Jagadeesha explains that due to Central and State government guidelines for the extended lockdown he is helpless and hence cannot allow them in.
He added that many MLAs and others too have requested him to make special arrangements to bring the stranded home however he cannot due to the lockdown.
Many residents of Udupi district live in Bengaluru, Mumbai and other cities and parts of the country. Since the beginning of the lockdown many wanted to return home but couldn’t. Some were asked to vacate their rented accommodation due to inability to pay rent.
