Udupi dist admin makes lockdown violators clean and carry roadside garbage

Udupi: On Sunday, vehicles moving on the highway here after the relaxation period were stopped and their travellers made to clean and carry garbage strewn on the side of the roads.

This penal activity was overseen by Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sadashiv Prabhu.

The violators had to carry the garbage to the Alevoor dumping yard.

Prabhu later said that this activity was done as a way to create social awareness among residents in order to adhere to the lockdown guidelines strictly.
