“Udupi district model for country in peanuts cultivation”

Kota: Kempegowda, Joint Director of Agriculture, Udupi district said that the district has become a model for the country in peanuts cultivation due to the crop system, soil characteristics and high yields.
He was speaking at an event held at Kota in a private farm.
Dr Naveen, a scientist at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Brahmavara spoke about new peanuts seeding system.
Kota gram panchayat president Ajit Devadiga, Raita Samparka Kendra’s Assistant Agricultural Officer Chandrashekhar Shetty and other officials from the district agriculture department and Krishi Vigyan Kendra were present at the event.
