Udupi: District Deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh warned people that they may have to face problems if they misuse unlock exemptions extended to them.
Speaking about the marriage restrictions he said, “As per the rule only 40 guests will be allowed to attend the marriage functions. However, wedding guests are exceeding the permissible limit, this is not accepted.”
“Hotels are permitted to serve the people only till 5 pm and not 6pm. As per the guidelines, holding any kind of programme is not permitted. Still, every day, hundreds of different parties and organizations hold programmes, protests, and social parties about which we learn through the newspapers,” he said.
“Anyone not following the rules will face stern action. Till July 7, no one is permitted to hold any programmes,” he warned.
“Law is the same for everyone. If I, being the deputy commissioner of the district, follow the rules and regulations, I expect everyone to follow them. If the people’s representatives obey the rules and guidelines, their followers too will do the same,” he added.
