Udupi: Family of COVID-19 fatality tests positive

Udupi: The wife and daughter of a 54-year-old man who had returned from Mumbai on June 18 and died on the same day of his arrival due to COVID-19 have also tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Saturday, June 20.
The man and his family had arrived at their house in Thekkatte on Thursday, June 18 afternoon. Later in the day, the man died. He was suffering from jaundice and had arrived from Mumbai in the state of illness.
His dead body was taken to Udupi for testing on June 19. He was detected to be COVID-19 positive. On the same day, his wife and daughter’s samples too were collected, which tested positive today (June 20).
The mother and daughter have now been admitted to the designated COVID-19 hospital here in the town for treatment.
