‘Udupi Help’ app to tackle monsoon related problems in the city

Udupi: I order to deal with monsoon relater problems in the city, the district administration will soon be releasing ‘Udupi Help’ app, said Hepsiba Rani Korlapati, Deputy Commissioner of the district speaking at with the media on Saturday May 25th.
The app is being developed on the lines of the C-Vigil app of the Election Commission of India and will help the people to interact with the staff of the Udupi City Municipality, informed the DC.
The people will be able to submit complaints through the app which will be available on Google Play Store within 10 days. The app is limited to Udupi city limits and will be launched as a pilot project.
The City Municipal Council, MESCOM, Water and Forest Departments will respond to the complaints and residents can upload photos and videos through the app.
The problem may be resolved immediately or within 6 hours. The app demo is going on and the beta version is being tested, said the DC.
Responding to a question on why the app service is not extended throughout the district, the DC replied that it was a trial app and there was limited time to develop it. “Udupi is a dense city in our district and we have taken it up as a pilot project in Udupi city limits this year,” she explained.
