Udupi: The first state-level ‘Samagra Yakshagana Sammelana’ began in Udupi with a grand procession from Kadiyali Sri Mahishamardini Temple to MGM College ground on Saturday.
A specially decorated idol of Lord Ganapati was carried in the procession.
Yakshagana conference’s President Dr. Prabhakar Joshi, Chairman Dr. G.L. Hegde, Udupi MLA K. Raghupati Bhat, Udupi Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao M, Udupi Zilla Panchayat CEO Prasanna H, MAHE Pro Chancellor Dr. H S Ballal, and Backward Classes Commission Chairman Jayaprakash Hegde among others participated in the procession.
