Udupi: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary instructed local officials that those COVID-19 patients undergoing home isolation in villages must be shifted to COVID Care Centres.
Speaking at a review meeting with Village-level Task Force members in the district through a video link from Manipal, Poojary explained that many homes in villages do not have extra rooms and toilets for the use of COVID-19 patients in the family. Hence it is imperative that they be moved to COVID Care Centres for better treatment.
“If there is refusal from the patients then help must be sought from the police department for moving them to the Centres,” he added.
“The Task Force members must hold a review meeting every day on COVID-19 management within their gram panchayat limits. They must also provide rations to houses that have been sealed down, Poojary said.
MP Shobha Karandlaje, MLAs Raghupathi Bhat and Lalaji Mendon were also present in the meeting.
