Udupi: Chaotic scenes were seen at the court complex premises here on Saturday, an undertrial attacked and injured a lawyer, media reports said.
The undertrial, named Shahid MAnchi, picked up a quarrel with a lawyer named Guru just outside the Court complex building. The verbal argument soon turned violent as the Shahid reportedly assaulted the lawyer in full public view.
Shahid was later arrested by the Udupi Town Police. The lawyers’ association has condemned the attack on one of its colleagues, report added.
