Udupi: Unsuccessful theft bid at Veeranjaneya temple

Udupi: An unsuccessful attempt to steal money from the donation box of Veeranjaneya temple on Ambagilu road here was reported on Friday.
It is gathered that the thieves had arrived in a car but absconded from the spot leaving the car behind.
The vehicle is said to bear a Mangaluru registration number.
Police arrived at the spot and are investigating the case.
