Udupi: Water monitor appears in Kaup beach parking lot

Kaup: A water monitor was spotted in the parking area of ​​Kaup beach on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 29 causing minor panic amongst locals.

Kaup Lighthouse staff member Prashanth Karkera called the Forest Department after learning of spotting the water monitor.

Department personnel Manjunath and Abhilash along with locals Shivanand Poojary, Nitesh Kumar, Chandrashekhar Bangera, Vinod Shriyan, Ganesh, Mohammed Iqbal were successful in catching the water monitor.

The water monitor was later left deep in the forest near Pilaru by Zonal Forest Officer Clifford Lobo, Kapu Sub-Divisional Forest Officers Jeevandas Shetty and Gururaj K.
