Ujjire child abduction case: In new ransom call, abductors reduce demand to Rs 10 cr

Belthangady: In connection with the Ujjire abduction of an 8-year-old boy, the kidnappers have reportedly reduced their ransom demand from Rs 17 crore to Rs 10 crore.
As per reports, the boy, Anubhav’s father got a call demanding 60 Bitcoins (approximately Rs 10 crore) for his safe release.
In the initial call, received by Anubhav’s mother the abductors had demanded 100 Bitcoins(value worth Rs 17 crore).
The police suspect that a person with knowledge of family affairs might be involved in the kidnapping case.
A team led by Bantwal DySP Valentine D’Souza and comprising Belthangady Circle Inspector Sandesh PG, Sub Inspector Nandakumar, Dharmasthala Station Sub Inspector Pawan Kumar has been formed to intensify the search.
