
Ullal: Panchaloha ornaments stolen from Padangara Bhagavathi Temple

Ullal: Unidentified men broke into Padangara Bhagavathi Temple near Mastikatte, Kotekar and escaped with Panchaloha ornament on Monday, September 20.
It is said that the thieves stole the panchaloha Muga or Moga (as called in Tulu implies the face of Daiva) The Muga has varying expressions imprinted based on the daiva’s birth and stories of the daiva’s manifestation on earth.
Sources claim that the Muga was placed in the temple a year back.
Police officials have visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
