Ullal: Soon-to-be married youth killed in hit-and-run accident

Mangaluru: In a hit-and-run accident that took place at Netravati bridge here a 28-year-old resident of Ullal was killed on the spot while another sustained injuries on Saturday July 11.

The deceased Ubaid was supposed to get married on July 23.

As per reports, Ubaid’s scooter collided into a truck after being hit by a speeding car from behind. Ubaid died on the spot due to the injuries sustained in the mishap while the pillion rider has been admitted to the hospital.

The car driver identified as Krishna fled the scene but was held by the police at Thokkotu flyover. The police took him and two other car occupants into custody.
