Uppinangady: Police arrest 4 accused in 2 burglary cases

Uppinangady: Police officials from the Puttur rural circle have arrested four culprits involved in the burglary of two houses here.
The four – Shamshudeen, Nawaz Mohammed, U Nizam and Sarfaraz – have been produced before a court.
The four are accused of stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 3,81,000 and Rs 14,000 cash from the house of Sharat at Karaya on January 14 and also stealing ornaments worth Rs 1,70,000 and Rs 4,000 cash from the house of Shahida at Uruvalu on May 14.
A case was registered at the Uppinangady police station of both incidents.
On May 28 the accused were arrested by police from near the Nekkilady check post. Rs 5,50,000 worth of jewellery and three bikes were seized from them.
