UTK asks govt to control price rise of essential commodities

Mangaluru: Congress leader UT Khader on Thursday urged government to take measure to control the rising prices of essential commodities, including masks and sanitisers.
Speaking to reporters Khader questioned the restrictions on commoners, especially daily wage labourers during the lockdown if supermarkets can be kept open 24*7.
Pointing out that round the clock functioning of supermarket was violative of centre’s 21-day lockdown orders to contain spread of COVID-19, Khader asked the state government to reconsider this decision.
