UV Exclusive: ‘Muru Muttu’-fame Satish Pai shares his theatrical journey on ‘Teredide Mane Baa Athiti’ chat show

Manipal: Well-known artist Satish Pai of the immensely popular Kannada drama ‘Muru Muttu’ during Udayavani.com’s chat show on Facebook ‘Teredide Mane Baa Athiti’ said that his dream is to make a film based on his own popular and successful drama ‘Muru Muttu’.
Pai while speaking about his father Balakrishna Pai’s theatrical journey said, “My father always told me that the main aim of the drama companies and cinema is to entertain people. He gave his everything to this field, but incurred loss after which we had to sell my mother’s gold to pay the loan. However, he never gave up he always entertained people.”
“My father told me to never act in movies. So I refused to act in cinema even though I was offered many roles. However, my dream is to make a film based on my own popular and successful drama ‘Muru Muttu,” he added.
Satish Pai started as a child artist in his father Balakrishna Pai’s drama troupe. He wrote, directed and acted in Kannada and Konkani dramas including ‘Papa Pandu,’ ‘Golmal,’ ‘Avanalla Ivanu,’ ‘Ramakrishna Govinda,’ ‘Ranga Mantapa’ and ‘Master Plan.’
Pai became a household name after his performance in the popular and successful drama ‘Muru Muttu’ by the Kundapur Rupakala Drama Troupe.
