‘UVSAFE’: IIT Ropar develops UVGI-based room disinfection device

IIT Ropar have developed India’s first-of-its-kind UVGI-based room disinfectant device ‘UVSAFE’
IIT Ropar has collaborated with Momentum India Private Limited, in order to develop device. The device ensures 360-degree disinfection through its prismatic body and foldable wings
The wings provide exposure to the most frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, tabletops, cupboards etc. Also, a removable handle and magnetic cover has been designed for comfortable storage and transit of the device
The device was conceptualised and designed by Khushboo Rakha and Naresh Rakha with technical support from Shahriar Reza. It has been tested and accredited by FICCI and NABL
