Mangaluru: The District Deputy Commissioner Dr KV Rajendra has issued an order banning vehicular movement on Charmadi Ghat (NH-73) following multiple landslides, cracks on the road and uprooting of trees due to heavy rains.

As per the order, no vehicle will be allowed to ply on Charmadi Ghat (NH-73) between 7 pm and 7 am starting from August 9.

Cracks have appeared on Charmadi Ghat road on the Mangaluru-Villupuram National Highway 73 and as a precautionary measure, the vehicular movement has been banned as there are chances of further landslides, informed sources.
