Video of minor student misused by teacher for sexual gratification goes viral

Karkala: A video footage being aired by a TV channel showing a teacher sexually exploiting a minor girl student inside a private educational institution in the taluk has gone viral on social sites.
In the video, a young girl is seen entering a room followed by the teacher in question. Thereafter, the teacher is shown embracing the girl and fondling her. This is followed by both of them setting their clothes before exiting the room.
Halamurthy who is the circle inspector has said that the Department has noticed the news transmission by the TV channel. Neither the girl nor her parents have filed any complaint. If they are reluctant, a Suo Moto case will have to be registered by the department, he said.
According to police information the teacher in question is from Belthangady. It is suspected that some people, who were aware about the behaviour of the teacher and hence must have planted the cellphone inside the room for recording the proof and then providing it to the said TV channel.
