Mangaluru: Even though a year has lapsed since collapse of the Mullerapatna bridge, connnecting Mangaluru and Bantwal taluks the work on the reconstruction is yet to commence.

Miffed with this apathy of the district administration as well as the elected representatives, several people under the aegis of Sethuve Horata Samithi staged a protest in front of the DC office here on July 15, Monday demanding early reconstruction of the bridge.

The Committee has warned of intensifying its protest in coming days if the demand to reconstruct the bridge was not fulfilled.
