VTU to hold exams for final year students from August 24 and 30

Belagavi: Vice-Chancellor of Karisiddappa Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) announced that the examinations of final year engineering students will be held from August 24 to 30.

The examination is only for the current terminal semester which is the 8th semester and There will be no examination for new students of 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters now. They will be given an automatic extension and grades based on internal marks, said the VC.

However, the university will allow the 8th-semester students, who may have failed in some subjects in earlier semesters, to attempt examinations of their earlier semesters, in a different set of examinations.

The timetable for those backlog examinations will be announced soon.
