Gatecrashing an event is never morally right and is often always frowned upon. Many would not admit to doing such a thing.
A video clip of a student confessing to the groom that he gatecrashed his wedding is winning hearts on social media, and for the right reasons.
In the 45-second video clip shared by IAS officer Awanish Sharan, the student is seen admitting to the groom that he doesn’t know his name. He says, “I stay in a hostel and I was hungry. So, I came here to eat,” while speaking in Hindi, and asks if it’s okay to eat some free food.
The groom’s response to candid confession has the internet in awe. He not only allows the student to grab some food but happily asks him to pack some for his hostel mates.
The clip has since gone viral on Twitter, gaining more than 137k views and close to 12k likes.
Now, the internet lauded not only the honesty shown by the student but also the generosity of the groom. Many users wrote “heartwarming,” in the comment section of the video post. “That’s why I love Indian culture so much!” wrote one user.
