A Twitter user shared a picture of a sign found at his local McDonald’s outlet which went viral on social media. The sign read, “We are closed because I am quitting and I hate this job.” The tweet went viral and sparked discussion about the ethics of resigning from a job in this abrupt manner and the struggle faced by low-wage employees.

In a follow-up tweet, the user shared that it was put up by the night shift manager who quit suddenly. The tweet garnered more than 200k likes.
