Who is calling? Google Phone adds new feature where users can identify callers

New Delhi: Technology giant Google has now introduced a new feature in its a phone app that works like the popular app “Truecaller’ model.
The new feature will allow app users to know whether the caller is verified or a spam call, caller’s name, reason for calling will be visile while they receive the call from a new number. Apart from this the caller’s profile photo or logo, sign certificate will also be visible. The main objective of this feature is to prevent fraudulent calls.
The phone app is in-built in many Android devices and Google is planning to make the new feature available by next week with an update.
The feature would be first introduced in the Us, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and India and soon it will be available in other countries.
Google said that they have tested the feature for the past 5 months and achieved good results. It also assured that it will not collect any personal information of users.
