Will break down toll plaza: MLA Dr Bharat Shetty warns

Surathkal: If attempts are made to collect toll from local private cars and small vehicles at Surathkal toll plaza, I myself will stand in the front of the toll plaza and have it broken down, threatened MLA Dr Y Bharat Shetty.

The MLA gave the warning in response to the toll plaza contracting company’s decision to collect toll from local vehicles at the Surathkal toll plaza at NITK from March 1st.

Public meet today

A pubic meet has been organize by the Surathkal Toll Virodhi Horata Samithi in opposition to the toll plaza contracting company’s decision to collect toll from local vehicles. The protest will be conducted on the issue that the existence of toll itself is illegal, and now it is being collected from the local vehicles.
