K’taka floods: Will stage protest if Centre fails to release funds, says HDD

Bengaluru: After Karnataka Congress informed that they will be staging a protest on Wednesday against BJP government’s failure over handling flood situation in the state, JDS Supremo and former prime minister HD Deve Gowda said that he will take his party’s delegation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demand flood relief fund.
Addressing pressperson on Wednesday Deve Gowda said that a JDS delegation will meet the PM and demand flood relief fund.
“If Centre fails to release fund we will stage protest,” he warned.
As many as 103 taluks of 22 districts were affected by recent floods for which the state government has sought a relief of Rs 38,000 crore from the Centre. Around seven districts were reeling under drought.
