A woman was purportedly observed breastfeeding her pet cat in front of shocked staff and fellow passengers. According to the New York Post, the unidentified woman began breastfeeding her cat while on a Delta Airlines flight from Syracuse, New York to Atlanta, Georgia.

According to reports, a photograph circulating on social media shows a message transmitted to the ground by flight crews utilising the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System. “A person in seat 13A is breastfeeding a cat and will not put cat back in carrier when a flight attendant requested,” according to the message.

The note further asked that the problem be handled by the airline’s “Red Coat” staff whenever they arrived. The “elite airport customer service experts” on Delta’s Red Coat crew are “specially educated to handle on-the-spot consumer difficulties.”

Ainsley Elizabeth, a flight attendant, also spoke up about the strange encounter in a TikTok video posted on November 13, according to Newsweek.

“This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby,” Ainsley Elizabeth said in her video “Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.”

Further adding, that “security met the flight” and asked her to stop.

Delta Airlines has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
