Woman molested and forced to strip by Ola cab driver

A 26-year-old lady was attacked and compelled to strip by a private taxi driver here in Bengaluru. The episode came to light on Tuesday, June 5.
The incident took place on June 1 when the victim took a taxicab to reach Bengaluru Kempegowda airport at around 2 am. The Ola taxicab driver, rather taking her to the destination, he forced her to strip and pose for photos. He additionally threatened her of gang rape.
After the victim reached Mumbai, she lodged a complaint to the chief of Bengaluru police who made convenient move.
In the mean time, Ola in an announcement stated, “We regret the unfortunate incident that our customer experienced. We have zero tolerance for such incidents. The driver has been blacklisted from the platform as an immediate action upon receiving the complaint. Safety of our customers is our top priority. We are extending our full support to the police authorities in their investigation.”
The driver has been captured and arrested by Jeevan Bima Nagar police.
