Yedyurappa remains silent on Lingayat religion status

Bengaluru: BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Monday dint make any comments on Siddaganga Mutt seer favoring a separate religious tag to the Lingayat faith.
Addressing the Press Yeddyurappa told “I will not comment on this. There will be clarity on the issue in a couple of days.”
M B Patil has announced that the Siddaganga Mutt was in favour of a separate religion status for the Lingayats. Although the Mutt is yet to make clear its stand publicly, its purported support could change the dynamics of the debate.
