Beltangady: A 19-year-old youth allegedly ended his life as he was reportedly not in favour of his sister’s inter-caste alliance.

The deceased is identified as Karthik. As per reports, his elder sister was in love with a youth belonging to another caste, and the families had consented to their marriage.

Karthik however disapproved of the alliance and may have ended his life for the same reason, his family members said.

A case has been filed at Beltangady police station.
