Youth held in Kasargod love jihad case

Bengaluru: Parappana Agrahara police personnel have arrested a 30-year-old youth in connection with the rape and blackmail of an 18-year-old from Kasargod.
The arrested Anwar, a native of Kerala and a resident of Electronics city had allowed Rishabh, the main accused in the case to stay at his house where the girl had been raped.
The police have also booked Anwar’s wife in connection with the case. Meanwhile, the police are on lookout for Rishab.
The victim in her complaint alleged that Rishab had raped her after giving her juice laced with drugs and also made a video of the same. Later he blackmailed to upload the video on social media if she and her family did not convert into Islam.
As the accused is a resident of Bengaluru, the victim approached MP Shobha Karandlaje and through her, she lodged a complaint with chief minister BS Yediyurappa and Bengaluru city commissioner Bhaskar Rao.
