Youth live-streams suicide attempt on FB, alleges police harassment

Shivamogga: A 20-year-old youth from Bhaise village in Hosanagar taluk attempted suicide, allegedly due to police harassment and recorded it live on Facebook (FB) on Tuesday.
Reportedly the Hosanagar police had warned the youth, Mithun Shetty against posting inflammatory messages on social media. A case had also been booked against him in this regards.
Going live on Facebook, on Tuesday, Mithun alleged that the police were harassing him and consumed poison. He was rushed to a hospital immediately and his condition is said to be stable.
