Students oppose Mayor inaugurating bar near school premisis

Mangaluru: School students opposed Mayor Kavitha Sanil to inaugurate a bar near their school premises here today.

Students from Ann’s High School protested against a bar being opened at Kuntikan claiming that it is within the 100 meters from the school.

Mayor Kavitha Sanil said “Students claim that the bar is within 100 mts of the school premises where in the bar owner said its 120 mts. There is a lot of confusion on this. I am returning without inaugurating the bar,”

While mayor Kavitha Sanil had to return without inaugurating, the bar owners managed to open the bar and restaurant.
