SSLC Results out, Udupi comes first, DK fourth

Mangaluru: Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) announced the 2018 SSLC examination results today. Dakshina Kannada district came in fourth this year. Udupi district stands first in the state with a score of 88.1% followed by Uttara Kannada district. Chikkodi bagged the third place while Yadgir came last.
Girls performed better scoring 78.01 per cent while boys scored 66.56 per cent.
A total of 8,38,088 students appeared for the examinations and the overall pass percentage is 71.93.
The maximum marks one can score in boards is 625. This year two students scored cent percent, while eight students secured 624 and 12 scored 623.
Pranshula Prashanth, daughter of Prashanth Kumar and Chethana Prashanth, from Alva’s English Medium School has scored 624 out of 625.Pranshula thanked her parents, Alva’s Institutions Chairman, Dr. Mohan Alva and her teachers for their encouragement and support which she says contributed to her success.
Medha M Bhat a student of TMA Pai English Medium School, Manipal too has secured 624.
Abhijna Rao, a student of Kumaraswamy English Medium High School in the Sullia Taluk of Dakshina Kannada, has scored 623.
Manoj S Mallya, a student of Indralli English Medium School, Udupi has secured 623.
Around 1,342 schools have scored 100% results, 102 of these are government schools. While 6 of 43 schools that have scored zero are government schools.
Re-examinations will be held between June 21 and 28 this year.
