Dowry harassment; forceful abortion: Case registered

Kaup: A case has been registered at Kaup police station as per the direction of the Court against a man and his family for harassing his wife for dowry, insisting for divorce and forcibly doing an abortion. The victim woman is identified as Dilshad Banu, a resident of Majuru village.
The couple had married on March 11 2010. Just a few days of marriage, her husband identified as Mohammed Zafar of Ranibennuru in Haverid district along with his relatives Mohammed Sadiq, Hayat Bhasha, Hajirabi, Rehamattulla, Shanshad, Shamim started harassing the woman for additional dowry and also subjected her to physical and mental torture.
A private complaint has been given to the Court which states that Dilshad wanted to get married a second time and therefore started to trouble her and insisting for divorce and also forcibly cause an abortion.
