Udupi: 6 monkey carcasses found

Udupi/Kundapur/Siddapura: Altogether 6 carcasses of monkeys were found in the district o Saturday.
The monkey corpses were found in Kundapur taluk’s Belve, Madamakki, Vandse, Nada, Siddapura and Brahmavar taluk’s Kenjuru in Kokkarne and in Kadtala Doderangadi in Karkala taluk. Of them, samples of the carcasses found at Kadtala and Madamakki have been sent for lab tests. The carcasses were found in a putrefied condition. Since monkey fever disease has been confirmed in the carcasses found till now at Vandse and Siddapura region, samples have not once again been sent for lab testing.
Blood samples of three persons who had fever had been sent for testing and t has been confirmed that none of them is infected by monkey disease, informed sources from the health department.
There is demand for DMP oil worth Rs 25,000 from Kamalashile temple.
KMC: Three more get admitted
Udupi: Three more patients from Sagar and surrounding areas in Shimoga district have been admitted at Manipal KMC hospital for suspected monkey disease. Till date, 101 persons have been admitted in the hospital for suspected monkey fever f which 65 have been discharged post treatment.
