Lorry hits bike; kills one, grievously injures another

Bantwal: A youth died on the spot after the bike he was riding pillion on was hit by an over-speeding lorry near Devasyapadur on Sunday March 3rd.

The deceased youth is identified as Prashanth (25) from Balthila in Kalladka and the grievously injured bike rider is Yogish (30) from Barimar and has been shifted to Wenlock hospital.

The accident

The duo were heading towards Panathabail on the bike when the accident occurred near Devasyapadur. The over-speeding lorry came from the opposite side and on the wrong side of the road and hit head on into the bike killing Prashanth on the spot.

Melkar police visited the location and have registered a case in this connection.,
