MP Nalin Files Petition Before Karnataka High Court to Quash FIR Registered

Mangaluru/Bengaluru: Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha MP, BJP leader Nalin Kumar Kateel moved to Karnataka high court seeking cancelisation of First Information Report (FIR) registered by Kadri police against him for allegedly obstructing the police from performing their duty on September 7 when BJP organised a bike rally in Mangaluru city as part of its protest programme.

The MP in his petition MP stated that, as a party leader he questioned the move of the Kadri police in which the police allegedly took BJP workers into their custody. Nalin also clarified that he urged the police to release the party workers immediately as they taken into custody illegally no police obstructed from performing their duty. However, Kadri police officer unnecessarily registered a case against him to spoil his reputation and political image, MP alleged. Nalin also urged the court to cancel all legal proceedings, FIR and other legal process scheduled to start at local court here in Mangaluru.
