Both Hindu and Muslim right-wing outfits should be banned: Home minister

Mangaluru: Home minister Ramalinga Reddy said that both Hindu and Muslim right-wing outfits that create violence among people in the name of religion should be banned.

While speaking to reporters in a ceremony to lay foundation for police quarters at Shaktinagar today he said that in coastal Karnataka , the Hindu right-wing and Muslim right-wing organisations are becoming agitated. The public are unhappy with these organisations. A time will come when people will rise against these organisations.

In response to recent increase in attacks and killings in the district, Reddy said "if we have to choose as of which organization should be banned, then both Hindu and Muslim right-wing organizations that rot the peace in the district should be banned. Both are creating violence in the city”.

He also gave examples of involvement of BJP and Yuva Morcha in Dhanya case. He also said that Paresh Mesta’s parents said that their son was not a member in any organizations or political party, but BJP kept saying that he was their party worker.

Reddy congratulated the police on their efforts in Deepak and Basheer murder case and maintaining peace in the city.
