Bangalore Literature Festival to be held on Dec 17, 18

Bengaluru: The fifth edition of the Bangalore Literature Festival is all set to be held on December 17 and 18.

Sources say that the two-day festival will open with a discussion with Congress MP Shashi Tharoor regarding his latest book An Era of Darkness: The British Empire in India and will end with a conversation with BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha.

Author Chetan Bhagat will discuss ‘the new Indian girl’ with Sudha Murty. The festival will host sessions on business writing, investigative journalism and food writing.

Film personalities Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Ashish Vidyarthi and Aishwaryaa R Dhanush are also expected to take part in the festival and will converse with participants.

This year’s Magsaysay Awardee Bezwada Wilson and former president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union Kanhaiya Kumar will also participate in the festival. Writer of Academic Hinduphobia Rajiv Malhotra will hold a conversation with T V Mohandas Pai while Historian Ramachandra Guha will speak on Cricket.
