Bengaluru: The Vishveshwaraya Technological University (VTU) students who have been on a strike continued it for the second day.
The students protested demanding more relaxation in the carry-over system.
We will continue to protestuntil the management makes the changes, at least one-time examination, supplementary or further relaxation in the promotion norms would make a big difference for thousands of students,a student from East West College of Engineering told.
The VTU had relaxed the norms for the final year admission recently. The students are still demanding more relaxation, another last chance, from the authorities as the earlier decision benefited only 5,000 students.
The students also added: “There are no promotion norms in country’s top institution like IIM, IIT and IISC, then why is VTU sticking to this?”
