Justice AM Farook no more

Bengaluru: Justice A M Farooq, a retired judge of Karnataka High Court passed away on Wednesday morning at Bengaluru.

Farook who is a recognized lawyer in the field of criminal, civil and constitutional cases served as judge of the Karnataka HC from 1995 till his retirement. 

He had started his career as a lawyer in the Karnataka Lawyer’s Association in 1968 and was in service for 45 years.  He was an active member of many law-based organizations and had also served as Chairman of the Karnataka Judicial Academy till he retired.

From 2008 to 2013 has served as president of the Karnataka State Appellate Tribunal.

Farook is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters.
