Davanagere: In a tragic incident, two teenagers met a watery grave at a swimming pool here on Friday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Mubarak (15) and Tajuddin (16).

It is learnt that the boys had been to the swimming pool on Friday evening with their friends without informing their families. They both apparently did not know how to swim.

When both failed to rise to the surface for a long time, panicked friends informed the pool authorities. By the time they were rescued, they had already breathed their last.

Later, the parents of the deceased boys filed a complaint at the Basavanagar Police Station alleging that negligence by the swimming pool staff and the city corporation caused the tragic deaths.
