25 lakh cash and luxury car stolen from Dhananjaya Swamiji

Tumkuru: Dhananjaya Swamiji from Bidanagere Satyasheneshwara Swami temple in Kunigal was robbed of Rs 25 lakh cash and a luxury car in which he was travelling on June 9.
It has been reported that, the gang consisted of six members.
According to the temple reports, on Saturday the devotees had donated liberally towards the installation of 150 feet high statue of Lord Anjaneya at temple. The robbed money also consists of the money collected in the donation box of the temple.
The Swamiji along with two of his assistants were moving in a car at around 10 pm on when six robbers who approached the car, in the guise of devotees, requested him to garland their newly acquired car. As soon as the Swamiji got down from the car, the robbers sprayed pepper powder in his eyes, threatened driver, Sridhar, and Nayaz who were inside the car, by flashing lethal weapons, and made good their escape in the Swamiji’s car which also contained cash.
