30 residents of Udupi including 1 pregnant woman stranded in Maha border

Udupi: 30 residents of Udupi who were traveling from Maharashtra to Karnataka in a private bus have been stopped at the State border, they are stuck in Maharashtra border village Kagal, 27 Km away from Nipani village in Karnataka.
Udupi based Vijayalakshmi, who lives in Mumbai, had promised to take them to Karnataka. Accordingly, the state had paid Rs. 4500 each to reserve the tickets.
The bus left Mumbai on the evening of May 18 and the passengers are stuck on the bus due to the inter-state travel restrictions.
As per sources, a pregnant woman from Udupi is also traveling on the bus. The passengers of the bus have requested the district administration and officials to give permission to enter the State.
