Since the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a global pandemic, countries around the world have announced lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus. But along with the lockdown, feeling of uncertainty and panic has also taken over the country.
Here are a few tips to deal with anxiety during lockdown
Stay positive and calm
First thing is to stay positive and calm and invest your time in things that you love to do. For your mental fitness, you can sit down and revisit long-term goals in life, personal, family and financial, and get a clear perspective.
Practice deep breathing
Try breathing in for 4 counts and breathing out for 4 counts for 5 minutes total. By evening out your breath, you’ll slow your heart rate which should help calm you down.
Do 15 minutes of yoga
Sometimes, the best way to stop anxious thoughts is to take some time to focus on your body and not your mind which may help relieve your anxiety.
Maintain your routine
Follow a certain routine when at home and keep yourself busy. Otherwise you will disrupt your sleep-wake cycle and disturb your mental health.
Talk about it
Talk to people about what is bothering you and fearing you, it is okay to talk, do not take stress even when there is pressure.
